What information is needed to become a tutor.

There are a few essential pieces of information needed to become a tutor on the TEO Academy platform.

1: Photo ID such as a. driving licence, passport or national ID card.
2: Certificates of qualifications or CV.

Once a tutor profile is created , you should fill in all sections of your profiles to ensure that you get the highest possible place in search results.

TEO will not share your information with any third parties in line with GDPR.

TEO Academy will use the contact information and other details only for administration related needs. By signing up to our terms and conditions and privacy policy, you agree to this.

Are there lesson materials available for tutors?

TEO has several ways of assisting tutors with learning materials.

1: On your individual tutor platform, you can create lessons plans, design quizzes and expand the question bank as much as you wish.
2: TEO academy has a dedicated YouTube channel (below) with TEO's Tiny Tips modules that you can share.
3: Contact admin with specific requests and our team of experts will strive to create what you need. Questions, comments or ideas are wholeheartedly welcomed by our developers.

Can we teach children on the platform?

We are sorry but TEO Academy is not currently recruiting tutors for children (under 18). This service will be available again in the future so please check back with us from time to time.

How can tutors enhance their profiles to make them stand out?

Tutors can include the YouTube link of their introduction video to make it more attractive. YouTube allows you to add a thumbnail also, and this is well worth doing as it gives your profile a more professional look.

Profiles should also include relevant information about yourselves like biography, skills, industry, experience, and spoken languages.

You should tick the box on all of the relevant subject specialties that apply to you too.

For some subjects like, OET for example, you may be required to provide additional qualification evidence.

Can the tutors and students check the scheduled lessons as per their time zones?

Yes, tutors and students can see the scheduled lessons as per their time zones, simplifying the problem for tutors and students located in different time zones. They can go to "Settings" and select their "Time Zone".
